Portraits!

Last week I did another shoot for my portfolio with my Mam and Nana, I had so much fun shooting with them doing this shoot made me realise that my Mam is a huge poser and that my Nana should be an actress! It was such a good shoot here's a couple of final shots from the shoot.

New Project

It's my first project of 2014! Yesterday at uni we got set our new project which is our Portfolio work, which is completely up to us what we want to do as it's to show our work off. My chosen theme for my Portfolio is Portraiture, I'm quite looking forward to starting this project as it lets me shoot what I want to! Usually I would get stuck on this kind of thing where I could do anything but straight away I decided I wanted to Portraiture showing emotions.

Here's some images that have inspired me:
Mark Taylor

Jill Greenberg

It's worth checking these two photographers out as their work is amazing!

Happy New Year!

I hope that everyone had a lovely Christmas and a great New Years!
It's back to reality now! So I'm back at university tomorrow so I thought I'd post my supporting image for my contextual studies essay. I wrote about Annie Leibovitz and I was influenced by her more simpler of images of Anne Hathaway and Miley Cyrus. These are two images shown below.

I decided to re-create her simpler work as I didn't have the money like Annie does to create high production shoots!

Here is my final image, I hope you like it!

It's been a while

It's been a while since I posted anything on here, so here is a quick update of what has been happening.

At university we got given a new brief where we have to write an essay about a photographer we like and how the technology has changed over the past 30 years.

I've chosen Annie Leibovitz, she is a very famous photographer and is well known for her unique and controversial portraits. I also have to try and re-create a image like hers.

I'm thinking about creating an image like the one above of Miley Cyrus as it's quite natural.
